Regions will receive funds for monthly payments at first child birth just after New Year holiday – Russian Labor Ministry

Regions will receive funds for monthly payments at the birth of the first child in the first business days after New Year holiday, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia Maxim Topilin says. At the meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation, a draft decree on the allocation of subventions to regions in 2018 for monthly payments for the first child was approved. The amount of allocated funds is 21.4 billion rubles.

On the website of the Ministry of Labor, it is reported that 533 941.5 rubles of subventions will be allocated from the federal budget to the budget of Bashkortostan for monthly payments in connection with the birth (adoption) of the first child.

"According to the forecast, about 336,000 families will be able to apply for a monthly payment next year," said Maxim Topilin.

Families with per person income not exceeding the 1.5 subsistence level of the able-bodied population in the region are entitled to payments.

At the same time, the amount of the sum to be paid will equal to the amount of the subsistence minimum for children established in the region for the second quarter of the previous year.

Earlier, the Head of the Ministry of Labor named the size of the monthly payment for the first or second child on average in Russia. It will be equal to 10.5 thousand rubles.
