Anomalously warm weather is expected on New Year's Eve in Russia

UFA, 26 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The air temperature throughout the country in the last week of the year will be anomalously warm and exceed the norm by 8-10 degrees. This is reported by TASS, referring to the forecasts of the head of the Meteorological Center Roman Wilfand.

"The weather will be just crazy warm during this pre-New Year period," said Wilfand.

According to him, the reason for the emergence of such an all-Russia anomaly was simultaneous arrival of warm air from the Mediterranean and Turkey to the European part of the country and from the southern Asian regions to Siberia.

The head of the Meteorological Center recalled that an increase in temperature to zero mark means the appearance of ice on the roads and sidewalks, which is especially dangerous for drivers.

Due to strong wind and snowfalls, warnings about weather worsening have been announced in different regions, including Bashkortostan.

According to Meteorological Center, on December 31, the weather will be dry, with sunny periods in the republic. The air temperature on New Year's eve will be -10, -11 C, in the daytime -6 C.
