Most senior marriage in Bashkiria: groom is 93 years old

UFA, 19 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The State Committee of Bashkortostan for Justice Affairs informs that this year the most elderly couple who decided to marry was a 93-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman. The department also named the age of the oldest spouses who dissolved the marriage ties. The husband was 91, the wife - 82 years old.

The active marriageable age for both men and women is between 25 and 34 years of age. Dissolution of marriages also happens mainly in this age group.

According to the registry office of the republic, for nine months of this year 22 313 marriages were registered in Bashkortostan, 11 539 marriages were broken.
