Number of senior citizens is growing in Bashkiria

UFA, 18 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. In Bashkortostan there is an increase in the life expectancy of citizens and an increase in the population over working age. This was told by Gulnara Zinnurova, the head of the department for the organization of medical care for the adult population of the Ministry of Health RB, at a meeting on the implementation of the "Territory of Care" project in the republic.

Currently, there are more than 938 thousand people over 60 years old in the region, about 30% of them are men and 70% are women.

The "Territory of Care" project is aimed at the development of the geriatric service, namely, the organization of long-term medical and social assistance to citizens of the older generation. The pilot project is being implemented in six regions of the country, including in our republic.
