United States consulates will resume issuing visas in regions

UFA, 5 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/. On December 11, US Consulates in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok will resume their interviews for non-immigrant visas at a reduced scale. This is reported on the official website of the US diplomatic mission in Russia.
The US Embassy in Moscow will also continue to conduct interviews for immigration and non-immigrant visas at a reduced scale.
"We want Russians to travel to the United States, experience our culture firsthand, study at our universities, and do business with U.S. companies. So we are pleased to resume partially these visa services. We believe that people-to-people interactions and U.S.-Russian business ties are the bedrock to stability in the bilateral relationship", said the US Ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman.
Restrictions on the issuance of visas to the Russians were introduced by US authorities in late August 2017, calling it a response to the decision of the Russian authorities to reduce the number of personnel of the US diplomatic mission, having equaled it with the number of the Russian mission personnel in America.
