Bashkiria has all resources to open children’s interregional neurorehabilitation center - Head Physician of Republican Children's Clinical Hospital

Bashkortostan has all resources to open an interregional neurosurgical or neurorehabilitation center for restorative treatment of children, the importance of which was stated in the Address to the State Assembly - the Kurultay RB of the Head of Bashkortostan. Rustem Khamitov noted that the medical center should be organized with the support of the sanatorium and resort facilities of the republic to reduce significantly the number of serious complications.

The Head Physician of the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital Rustem Akhmetshin told that there were all prerequisites for such a center creation in the region.

"Today, in the region, indeed, there is an urgent need for the development of rehabilitation care. Neurosurgical pathology is very common in children, and unfortunately, the number of neuro-oncological diseases, brain and spinal cord tumors increases, there is a large percentage of the prevalence of craniocereberal trauma, when a child needs a further long-term rehabilitation process. Children born and cared in perinatal centers, within months or even years, should receive rehabilitation assistance", explained Rustem Akhmetshin. "I can also say that at the moment we have all the conditions for becoming a federal center for providing neurosurgical assistance to children: human resources, organizing resources, and trained specialists. We hope that as a result of the implementation of the Address of the Head of the Republic we will be able to launch his work".

Rustem Ahmetshin also noted the importance of constructing and reconstructing children's hospitals in the region.
