Leading ophthalmic surgeon of Italy will conduct live surgery from Ufa Research Institute of Eye Diseases

UFA, 23 November 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. One of the leading ophthalmic surgeons in Italy - Dr. Paolo Bordin from the hospital in Legnago, Verona, will come to Ufa for the first time to share his experience with his colleagues from the republic. In the Research Institute of Eye Diseases, he will participate, both in a theoretical and practical part of the scientific and practical conference "Modern Technologies for Treatment of Eye Diseases", which will be held on November 24. This symposium will be the final event this year, conducted by the Institute under the aegis of the Academy of Sciences RB and the Ministry of Health RB.

As part of the event an online broadcast of "live surgery" will take place from the operating room of the institute, where the Italian ophthalmic surgeon will demonstrate new technologies for the surgical treatment of patients with diabetic retinopathy. After the surgery, the participants of the conference will have an opportunity to discuss with the doctor the level of surgical care in Italy, talk about the demonstration surgeries performed by colleagues from Italy, exchange experience, get the opinion of a competent colleague for professional development.

Dr. Paolo Bordin is known all over the world for his ophthalmological school and possibilities of treating patients with the most diverse pathology of the eyes.

A team of the scientific research institute together with lecturers from leading Russian clinics prepared lectures, master classes, and satellite symposium for the ophthalmologists of the republic. Particular attention will be paid to the treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous body, modern aspects of surgical and laser interventions, retinopathy of prematurity and diabetic retinopathy.
