Bank of river Ik in Bashkortostan was cleared from garbage within "Waters of Russia" campaign

In Bashkortostan, during the "The Waters of Russia" campaign the bank of the river Ik flowing along the Bizhbulyak, Yermekeevo, and Tuimazy districts was cleared from garbage. This was the most significant result in the republic, the Ministry of Ecology RB reported.

"In general, the campaign was actively supported by residents of nine districts and the city of Oktyabrsky - total about 3.73 thousand people. They are the participants of the "Young Guard", "Volunteers of Victory", "Children for Children" movements. After cleaning, we made a memorable album and handed over a baton to our neighbors - then Ik flows through the territory of Tataria", said Irina Khafizova, the deputy head of the Tuimazy department of the ministry.

Also Mesyagutovo, Duvan, Mechetlino, Kigi, Uchaly, Meleuz districts of the republic actively supported the campaign, the Ministry of Ecology RB. During the summer, the banks of 750 water reservoirs were cleaned, many of them were taken under public control. The amount of collected garbage on the banks of the Bashkir rivers was more than 713.5 thousand cubic meters.
