Speaking at a joint meeting of the Council on Interethnic Accord and Peace Assistance and the Council of the Assembly of Peoples RB, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov compared the peoples of Russia to a strong metal alloy. All people are different, and this difference only strengthens the unity of our society, he said.

According to the Head of the Republic the idea of national unity is especially relevant for Bashkortostan, where people of different nationalities and religious beliefs live.

"Each of us, regardless of religion or ethnic origin, can say: Bashkortostan is my republic, my homeland", Rustem Khamitov said. "This is our beloved, most beautiful land, where we live, work, where our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will live. This is an enduring factor and an indisputable fact for today. "
