Russian tourists in Germany and Czech Republic are recommended to stay inside because of hurricane

UFA, 30 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. Russian tourists in Germany and the Czech Republic are recommended to stay inside, as reported by Izvestia with reference to Rosturizm.

Citizens of Russia are warned of a sharp deterioration of weather in Germany due to the Gervart hurricane. The hurricane affected several federal lands, including Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. The hurricane also rages in the neighboring Czech Republic.

Due to squall wind there was a fall of trees in some areas, interruptions with electricity supply, restricted traffic on railway and roads.

The agency urged travel agencies to warn Russians about the unfavorable weather in Germany and the Czech Republic.

"Rostourism encourages Russian tourists in the territory of Germany and the Czech Republic to observe personal security measures, stay at home if possible, do not visit forest and park areas, beware of loosely fixed structures", the report says.
