It is important to promote Bashkir language study in interesting, modern format - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 30 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. Since the beginning of the new academic year, the electronic educational resource "International Bashkir Language E-Learning System" has been launched. The staff and teachers of M. Akmulla Bashkir State Pedagogical University have been working under this project for four years. The university’s project was supported by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the leading linguists of the republic.

With the help of this resource, anyone regardless of his language proficiency, age and location can learn the Bashkir language. Visitors can use the Bashkir-Russian dictionary, upload photos of their favorite places to the interactive map of our republic, and share their materials: folk music, dances, fairy tales, riddles, rituals, samples of oral folk art, etc.

The platform assumes a three-level training system, which includes basic, intermediate and advanced courses. The Rector of Bashkir State Pedagogical University Rail Asadullin noted at a meeting of the Council under the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan on the development of electronic education that only a basic course would be available for those who did not speak Bashkir language at all. It consists of 20 lessons, each of which includes grammar, vocabulary, videos on a topic under study and screening tests.

According to Rail Asadullin, additional funds will be needed to develop programs of the second and third levels.

Rustem Khamitov stressed that the Government was now preparing a program to preserve and develop the state languages and languages of the peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan and significant resources would be allocated for it.
