Rospotrebnadzor Head in Bashkiria announced data on ARVI incidence

UFA, 27 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Weekly ARVI is diagnosed from 16 to 20 thousand people in the republic. Over the past week, 16,300 people have fallen ill in the region. The epidemic threshold is not exceeded. This was stated by the head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor Eevgeny Stepanov at a plenary session of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan. The head of the supervisory authority considers the growth seasonal, due to the transition of the warm season to the cold one. Rospotrebnadzor conducts weekly monitoring of the situation.

According to Evgeny Stepanov, epidemiologists expect an increase in the incidence rate in January-March. Medical experts consider vaccination as the most effective prevention method. The region is allocated 1 million 600 thousand doses of vaccines from the federal budget, 350 thousand of them for children. To date, 28 percent of the population has been vaccinated in Bashkortostan, and 40 percent are supposed to be vaccinated.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor urged the heads of enterprises to purchase vaccines and vaccinate employees. To date, only 43.5 thousand people have been vaccinated through extra-budgetary funds.
