Forecast for coming winter is announced – should we expect extreme cold?

UFA, 19 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Residents of Russia will have a moderate weather pattern in the coming winter, the air temperature will be about or slightly above the norm in the greater territory of the country, RIA Novosti quotes the director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand.

The chief weather forecaster urged not to believe the statements that this winter would be extremely cold, since, according to him, the forecast of extreme weather cannot be done for a long period.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, in the republic a cold snap is forecasted from tomorrow (October 20), when cold arctic air mass will enter the territory of the region. Wet snow, temporary snow cover is expected. At night and in the morning, the chances of ice formation are high.
