All medical organizations start to issue electronic sick certificates in Bashkiria - Social Insurance Fund

UFA, 13 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. All state medical organizations of Bashkortostan will start issuing sick certificates in electronic form. The regional department of the Social Insurance Fund is implementing the project "Electronic Disability Certificate" in the republic. Training and information is almost complete.

The adoption of a decision on the transition of all state medical organizations of the republic to the issuance of sick certificates in electronic form was officially announced at a videoconference meeting held at the Ministry of Health RB on October 6.

On July 1, the law came into force, according to which Russian citizens had an opportunity to issue a sick leave sheet not only in hard copy, but also electronically. According to the Social Insurance Fund, at the time of the law’s coming into effect, about 700 medical institutions in Russia out of 12 thousand were ready to issue sick certificates in electronic form.
