Airplane named after Bashkiria national poet Mustai Karim will fly over Russia

UFA, 2 October 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. One of the passenger airplanes of the "Aeroflot" airline is named in honor of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim. It went to the new domestic passenger aircraft Sukhoi Superjet 100.

The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov addressed to the management of the Aeroflot with an initiative to name the aircraft after Mustai Karim. Later, it was supported and approved by the company's board and the name of Karim appeared on the fuselage.

Recall that in 2019 the republic will celebrate its 100th anniversary since its establishment. The decree on the celebration of this historic event was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In the same year, the centennial of the recognized classic of Russian and Bashkir literature, writer, playwright and publicist Mustai Karim will be celebrated, which had a great influence on the development of the literatures of the peoples of Russia. His name stands alongside such outstanding representatives of national literatures of the USSR as Rasul Gamzatov and Chingiz Aitmatov. Celebrations on this occasion will take place not only in Bashkortostan, but also in the Russian Federation.

Since 2002, Aeroflot planes carry the names of the great Russians: Valery Chkalov, Vladimir Vysotsky, Ilya Mechnikov, Nikolai Roerich, Igor Kurchatov, Sergei Korolev and many others.
