Bashkortostan spent 1.5 billion rubles for improving children’s health during summer

UFA, 27 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The health campaign in Bashkortostan cost about 1.5 billion rubles and covered 210 thousand children. Among them there were children from deprived backgrounds, left without parental care, children with disabilities, as well as those living in poor families, children from families of refugees and internally displaced persons. In addition, part of the regional schoolchildren was provided with rest outside the region: on the Black Sea coast, in the Republic of Crimea, international centers of Great Britain and Bulgaria. According to the results of the summer campaign, 91% of holidaymakers have achieved a health-improving effect.
This information was presented at the district meeting in the Volga Federal District. Organization of children's recreation is under special control of the Volga Envoy's Office.
The meeting was attended by the heads of regional executive authorities overseeing the relevant field of activity, representatives of the territorial bodies of the Federal Consumer Protection Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia.
One of the main directions of work in the summer, according to the Ministry of Education of Bashkortostan, is involvement of adolescents in socially useful activities. 183 thousand students were engaged in labor activity this summer.
Following the meeting, the leaders of the regional executive authorities were instructed to take the necessary measures to organize the safety and comfortable stay of children in sanatoriums, city and country camps during the summer health campaign of 2018.
