Bashkiria residents lead healthier lifestyle than Muscovites and St. Petersburgers

UFA, 22 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Bashkortostan took the 34th position with 66.6 points in the ranking of regions on keeping a healthy lifestyle. RIA Rating experts found out the state of things with the healthy lifestyle in the subjects of the Russian Federation. To compile the rating the authors analyzed the following indicators: the share of the population engaged in physical culture and sports, spending for tobacco products, volume of alcoholic beverages in absolute alcohol, the number of those who committed crimes in the state of alcohol and drug intoxication, mortality from accidental alcohol poisoning and the share of employees with harmful or hazardous working conditions.

The leaders of the rating are Chechnya (90.9 points), Dagestan (89 points) and Kabardino-Balkaria (80 points). Moscow takes the 43rd position, St. Petersburg - the 44th. The outsiders include the Jewish Autonomous Region (38.7 points), Magadan Region (39.7 points) and the Kamchatka Territory (42.2 points).
