Downpours in Ufa did not affect drinking water quality - City Hall

UFA, 6 September 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. The downpours occurred in Ufa on September 4 did not affect the quality of drinking water in the city, the mayor office reports. According to the press service of the city administration, due to weather conditions and abnormal showers, the work of the emergency crews was intensified, additional equipment was involved, and stand-by duty was organized at the Ufavodokanal enterprise. All facilities of the enterprise, the buildings, structures and adjacent territories were inspected.

The quality control of drinking water in the city is carried out by the Center for Analytical Water Quality Control of the Ufavodokanal enterprise in accordance with the Plan for Laboratory and Production Water Quality Control agreed with the Directorate of the Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection) in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The water of Ufa water intakes is controlled by 105 mandatory quality indicators, in addition more than 250 organic compounds are monitored.

"To date, Ufa water intakes operate normally, there are no deviations in water quality. Disinfection of drinking water is carried out in accordance with the established requirements," the mayor office underlined.
