USPTU was visited by official delegation of Indonesian Western Java Province

UFA, 3 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. On August 3, 2017, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) was visited by the official delegation of the Western Java Province of the Republic of Indonesia, which was headed by the Governor of the province Ahmad Heryawan. The delegation included Mr. Lasro Simbolon, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation, representatives of the legislative council, banking and economic sector of West Java, the agency for trade and industry, the governmental cooperation bureau.

On the part of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB – the Minister of Land and Property Relations RB Evgeny Guryev took part in the negotiations.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with Ufa State Petroleum Technological University and discuss the prospects for cooperation.

The USPTU rector Ramil Bakhtizin in his welcoming speech spoke about the current situation and the development prospects for the university, its educational and scientific potential and outlined the main areas of cooperation: enrollment of Indonesian citizens for studying at Ufa Petroleum University and the establishment of mutually beneficial partnership relations with the universities of Indonesia.

Ahmad Heryawan thanked the rector for the invitation to visit Ufa State Petroleum Technological University and expressed his intention to contribute in every way to the development of cooperation in the field of networking, exchange of experience and student exchange with the Indonesian universities, including universities located in the Western Java Province.

Lasro Simbolon suggested as a first step in the development of cooperation in the field of education sending students to the university from the cities of Bandung and Surabaya with the financial and organizational support of the Governor of the Western Java Province and expressed his hope of supporting cooperation programs by the Ministry of Education of Russia.

At the end of the visit, the rector Ramil Bakhtizin and Governor Ahmad Heryawan exchanged memorable gifts. Ramil Bakhtizin invited guests to take part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the university, which would be held in the autumn of 2018.
