Rustem Khamitov inspected school construction in Dema district of Ufa

UFA, 3 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Dariya Petrova/. On August 3, the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov inspected construction of a new school in the Dema-8 micro-district. The new educational institution, Lyceum No. 161, should be put into operation by September 1, now finishing works are conducted there. 757.301 million rubles were allocated for construction within the republican targeted investment program: 502.716.83 million rubles from the federal budget, 254.585 million rubles from the republican budget.
According to Irek Usmanov, the head of the education department of the Dema administration, the school will be one of the largest in the city. Its area is more than 20 thousand square meters. The lyceum will have elevators, two large sports gyms, a swimming pool and an assembly hall for 504 seats. The primary classes will be taught in a block with a separate entrance. Stadiums with football, volleyball and basketball grounds will appear in the courtyard of the lyceum.
The construction of the school is carried out as part of the commission of the Head of Bashkortostan to organize work on social infrastructure development of the Dema district given in 2012. Recall that according to the federal program "Promoting new places creation in general education organizations in the subjects of the Russian Federation" by 2025, an evening shift should be eliminated in schools. Now, on average, about 12% of children study in the evening shift in the republic, while in the cities this figure is higher than in the countryside.
Now in Dema there are seven schools, which are designed for 4320 children. At the same time, 7567 schoolchildren live in the region. Opening of the new lyceum will significantly improve the situation with the evening shift. According to the director of Lyceum No. 161 Gulnara Gimazetdinova, this year the school will welcomne 1079 pupils, the lyceum will have eight first-year classes.
"I am sure that by September 1 the builders will cope with the task and will commission this school, this is very important," the Head of the Region stressed. "In addition, there are two kindergartens nearby, and for the future it is necessary to create a single educational complex that can be more flexible in terms of areas and thus create all the conditions for the children to study here in one shift. But in Dema it is still necessary to build schools: the "Yarky", Dema-8, Dema-9 microdistricts are developing. We will be engaged in this work. In general, until the year 2025, we should resolve the issue of the evening shift in all cities. New schools should be built where the second shift still exists now".
