Athlete from Bashkiria wins Junior Wrestling World Championships in Finland
UFA, 2 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The sportsman from Bashkortostan won the Junior Wrestling World Championships in Finland. The trainee of Ufa school No. 14 Abdul Ahkmedov, who fought in the weight category up to 60 kg, competed as part of the Russian national team.
According to the press-secretary of the Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation RB Elena Ledyaykina, "the sportsman held four fights on the carpet. At the preliminary stage, after two victories, Ahkmedov was strongly resisted by Iranian Younes Emamichoghaei and beat him with a difference of one point. In the final, Abdul was second to none; he only needed one minute to flip the US representative Mitchell Mackey over for a fall".
