Kaspersky Lab announced worldwide free antivirus launch

UFA, 26 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. "Kaspersky Lab" announced a launch of worldwide antivirus - Kaspersky Free. This is reported by "RIA Novosti" referring to the statement of the company's CEO Evgeny Kaspersky.

"There is an excellent news - we are announcing a global worldwide launch of the free Kaspersky Anti-Virus!", it is said in a statement of the CEO.

The free antivirus, which has been developed for a year and a half, will not "compete" with paid versions. The statement notes that not all users have two thousand rubles for the premium class protection. These people have to install fake applications. Kaspersky Free will affect the quality of protection for all users.

The antivirus will be started in stages. Last year, it was successfully piloted in the Russia-Ukraine-Belarus region, in China, as well as in Nordix (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland). In July, the first owners of Kaspersky Free will be residents of the United States, Canada and many countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Kazakhstan. In September it will be launched in India, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Latin America, in October – in Europe, Japan and South Korea. Until the end of the year the company plans to make the antivirus available in all countries.
