Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan are connected with spiritually-cultural kinship dated back in centuries - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 20 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. Today in Bishkek, during the visit of the Bashkortostan delegation to Kyrgyzstan, the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov delivered a speech at the opening of the "Altai Civilization and Related Peoples of the Altaic Language Family" International Forum.
Scientists, historians, archaeologists, ethnographers, anthropologists, linguists, researchers of folklore, art and cultural heritage from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Germany, India, Korea, Mongolia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic participate in the forum organized on the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev.
The main topics of discussion will be the results of the latest scientific research, educational and cultural projects aimed at strengthening the humanitarian ties of the peoples inhabiting the vast territories of Eurasia, on the basis of common Altaic linguistic, ethnogenetic and historical-cultural ties.
The President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev in his welcoming speech noted the importance of the forum and wished its participants successful work.
"Altai is one of the cradles of human civilization, the forefather of Finno-Ugric, Turkic-Mongolian, Manchu-Tungus, Korean, Japanese and other peoples," he said. "The peoples of the Altai language family today inhabit territories from Yakutia in the north to Turkey and Iran in the south, from Hungary and Karelia in the West to Japan and Korea in the east. And, of course, they inhabit the Altai, the Urals, the Volga region, Central Asia, Mongolia and significant regions of China. Together with the peoples of Russia and China, these territories form a vast geographic and historical and cultural region, even a sort of a "continent" of Eurasia. And instead of the ideas that separate peoples by language, colour of skin and religious beliefs, we should rely on the ideas of goodness and peace, on ideas that unite different peoples. "
The Head of Bashkortostan in his speech marked the spiritual kinship of the peoples of the Altaic language family, including Bashkirs and Kirghiz, told about the contribution of the republican scientists to the Altaic and Turkic studies.
"Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan, despite the geographical distance, of course, are connected a lot. First of all by our linguistic, spiritual and cultural kinship, dated back into the centuries," said Rustem Khamitov. "Our versatile trade and economic ties with the Turkic-speaking regions and countries are also the most important factor for the further expansion of cooperation, the commonality of the Altai peoples. Let us continue to understand each other without interpreters, to be friends and communicate as sincerely as we are doing now, to put into practice important economic and humanitarian projects, to work for the benefit of our countries.
