Russian-Chinese business incubator in Ufa: how to become its resident and what projects can be attractive to investors

UFA, 18 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. In Bashkortostan, young people have another chance to make themselves known at the international level, to create their own business project and develop it. This opportunity is provided by the Russian-Chinese student's incubator established at Bashkir State University (BSU).
"The goal of the incubator is to train Russian and Chinese youth to create a joint business in the territories of the two countries," said Aigul Gabitova, the deputy head of the department for educational work of Bashkir State University, regional coordinator of the Russian-Chinese student business incubator in Ufa. "Participants of the project are students and graduates of higher educational institutions aged from 18 to 35 who have passed a competitive selection. At the moment, representatives of Bashkir State University, Ufa State Aviation Technical University, Ufa State Petroleum Technological cal University, M. Akmulla Bashkir State Pedagogical University are among them. Bachelors, masters, graduate students of Polytechnic University are among the residents from China".
Aigul Gabitova explained that investors are interested in projects related to biotechnology, information technology, agriculture, education. The Chinese side shows an interest in the finished products, while Russian students present more projects related to the sphere of services".
Since the opening of the incubator (July 4), regional and federal experts, as well as their colleagues from the Celestial Kingdom, have held working meetings and sessions with residents, during which they assisted young people in finding the necessary solutions to develop their own business. And today, on July 18, participants of the student business incubator defended their projects at Bashkir State University. A total of 10 projects were submitted, of which four developers were students from China and six - representatives of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
One of the projects - "Development of the Russian market of Chinese tea following Chinese traditions and culture" was a joint work of a designer from Ufa, graduate of Bashkir State Pedagogical University Vasilina Yanbaeva and a post-graduate philologist of Perm State University Shi Shanshan. The latter, by the way, was born in from China, but lives in Russia now.
Winners will be selected in three nominations: "Best Innovative Product", "Best Innovative Idea", "Best Innovative Project". Young people, who win the first place in each of the nominations, will have a trip to Moscow to defend their project.
At the end of August, the residents who defend their projects today will visit one of the Chinese provinces, where they will have an educational program and meetings with investors.
In parallel, the defense sessions take place in Omsk, Khabarovsk and Ulyanovsk.
