Bashkortostan Labour Ministry will perform functions of Family Issues Ministry

UFA, 18 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Dariya Petrova/. The Government of the Republic held an expanded meeting of the Coordination Interdepartmental Council for State Family Policy, which was chaired by the Prime Minister of the Government RB Rustem Mardanov.

The meeting considered an issue of creating within the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB a separate directorate that would perform interdepartmental interaction functions in matters of demography and family policy. It should be recalled that the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, made such a proposal on the establishment of a Family Issues Ministry in the region during a meeting with representatives of the region achieved success in their professions and social life.

"Considering that our Ministry already accumulates a significant part of work with the population, and also having studied the experience of other entities, so as not to create a separate authority, I propose to define our ministry as a coordinating body for the family policy implementation with granting it the appropriate powers," said the Minister of Labour and Social Protection RB Lenara Ivanova.

Also at the meeting financial measures aimed at increasing the birth rate in the republic for 2017-2020 were considered, which was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Salavat Sagitov.
