Ufa native with serious genetic disease met with Depeche Mode

UFA, 17 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The Vera Charitable Foundation fulfilled a dream of Renata Murtazina, a 18-year-old Ufa resident. The girl with a birth spinal muscular atrophy is fond of the British rock band Depeche Mode creativity. Renata knows by heart and performs their entire repertoire. She has a separate channel on YouTube for covers of her favourite songs. Also thanks to Depeche Mode the girl found many friends. Fans of the group raised her money for an urgent surgery on correcting scoliosis and even recorded a video with her participation, where she sang the song by Depeche Mode "Personal Jesus".

After that, the only dream of this fragile girl was to visit their concert and see her idol Dave Gahan. This opportunity presented itself: the Depeche Mode band came to Moscow with a new album "Spirit". The Vera Foundation helped Renate along with her parents, to come from Ufa to the Russian capital, get to the concert and talk with her idols.

Despite the incurable disease, the girl does not give up and makes plans for the future; she masters her English skills and wants to become a linguist-translator.
