Unique utensils made by Golden Horde artisans are found in Bashkiria

UFA, 13 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. In Bashkortostan archaeologists have found a settlement of the times of the Golden Horde. During the excavations, the staff of the Centre for Ethnological Research and students of Bashkir State University discovered objects related to the Middle Ages. The expedition members did not even expect to discover such ancient findings under the surface layer, the BST television channel reports. The Golden Horde population in the Southern Urals was very numerous, but its traces were practically not found. It is known Tourmaline fortification in Salavat district. This is the first monument of this type near Ufa".

Now this site is a monument of archeology, which will allow scientists to look into the Middle Ages and restore the picture of the life in the Golden Horde settlement. Students of the Faculty of History of Bashkir State University have found a fragment of a cast-iron boiler, small knives, ceramics, bones.

Most likely, the staff of the expedition found workplaces of artisans. Some findings are similar to blanks or defective products. Part of the findings archaeologists have already packed. To restore the picture of the ancestors' lives, researchers mark the location of the artifacts on the plan. It is necessary to indicate all the information, up to the burial depth.

Excavations will go on for more than a week, but work for archaeologists will not end there. Studies will continue in Ufa. After all, the answer to the main question, who was the owner of the findings, has not yet been received.
