Ufa is represented at International Assembly of CIS capitals and major cities in Astana

UFA, 13 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. The Ufa delegation is on an official visit to the city of Astana (Kazakhstan). Today, within the framework of the World Expo-2017 "Energy of the Future", the 25th session of the International Assembly of the capitals and major cities of the CIS was held there.

Akim of Astana city Aset Isekeshev, heads of cities of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Russia, as well as representatives of international, scientific and expert organizations take part in the jubilee session, the Ufa city administration reported.

Representatives of the Bashkir capital told participants of the meeting about the implementation of the "Smart Grid" concept in Ufa, the work of the capital's Public Security Centre, the People's Guards "Law and Order". In particular, they shared their experience in implementing the "Safe City" hardware and software complex. The basis of the complex is modern IP-video cameras, which allow distinguishing faces, car numbers. Video cameras are installed in places of mass stay of citizens, squares and parks, at the crossroads of streets and roads, in underground pedestrian crossings. The created storage subsystem allows storing information for 30 days. The information from the video cameras in real time is sent to the municipality, the Rescue Service, the situation management centres of the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ufa and all police departments of the city.

The International Assembly of capitals and large cities is one of the most authoritative venues where the leaders of megacities can meet and discuss all the issues of interest, share practical knowledge and experience in solving issues of urban development.
