Ufa resident hid "treasures" in Bashkiria mountains

UFA, 11 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The Ufa resident hid "treasures" on seven peaks of the South Urals to attract as many participants as possible to the Ural Bars project. The project is aimed at development of tourism in the region and involves conquest of seven peaks-thousanders: the Big Iremel (1,582 meters), the Rasypnaya (1017 meters), the highest point of the Yalangas Range - Mount Yalangas (1287 meters), Kumardak (1318 meters), Kurtashtau (1019 meters ), Kushai (1048 meters) and Mount Masim (1030 meters).

The Ufa traveler and photographer Oleg Chegodaev, who conquered these mountains more than once, decided to complicate the task. He set a real record, climbing all the peaks in 46 hours.

Oleg Chegodaev decided to arrange a real competition quest to motivate other tourists to climb the thousanders of the South Urals. He hid six unique charms made of jewelry bronze and one silver pendant from his own jewelry collection on each of the mountains within a radius of 3-5 meters from the top. The first, who will climb to the top and find them, will be able to take the jewelry. In the coming days on his page "VKontakte" the traveler will describe in detail the location of the "treasures". The pendants feature a variety of mountain, climbing and tourist images, among them Mount Iremel, two symbols of mountains and mountaineering - ice ax and edelweiss, an element of mountaineering equipment - jumar. The silver pendant depicts the relief of Bashkiria.

The conquest of the seven peaks of the South Urals is the first stage of the Ural Bars project, organized by the regional branches of the Russian Geographical Society, the Russian Union of Rescuers and the Emergency and Rescue Service RB. Its completion has not time limits - you can climb all the mountains this year, you can continue traveling the next year also. It is important: to take a few photos from the prominent places on the tops and send your reports to the Russian Geographical Society in Bashkortostan. The second stage of the project is passing special routes. They will be announced in 2018. The certificate and special tokens "7 peaks" will be given to participants for the first stage, numbered breastplates "Ural Bars" - for the passage of two stages of the competition.
