Will Bashkiria be able to provide itself with grain this rainy summer? - Ministry of Agriculture RB

UFA, 10 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The gross harvest of cereals and leguminous crops should amount to 2.8 million tons in Bashkortostan this year, even if rainy weather continues in the region. This forecast was announced in the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic.
"This figure is much lower than the last year's. In 2016 the good harvest was collected - 3.3 million tons of grain, but this will be enough to ensure the food security of the republic", said Azat Mukhametshin the head of the plant growing and feed production department of the Agriculture Ministry RB.
In the next few days, the emergency situation is going to be introduced in 13 districts: Bakaly, Belebey, Buzdyak, Davlekanovo, Iglino, Karmaskaly, Krasnokamsk, Kushnarenkovo, Nuriman, Sterlibashevo, Ufa, Fedorovska, Chishmy. More than 100 farms suffered damages due to the bad weather. All because of heavy rainfall, which in June exceeded the average rate by half and continues actively in the second summer month.
Humidification of the soil due to prolonged rains led to the damage of cereal crops with a total area of 22.5 thousand hectares. The Ministry calculates the preliminary damage, now it is estimated at 426 million rubles.
According to the republican department for hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring, unstable weather with rain and thunderstorms will be preserved in the territory of Bashkortostan until the end of the current working week.
In the last decade of July, an unstable weather pattern with rains and thunderstorms is again predicted in the region. In August, according to the forecast for the vegetation period, the average monthly air temperature will be close to and slightly above the norm. More accurate data for the last summer month will be known on July 31.
