Most elderly Russian woman lives in Kabardino-Balkaria: she is 127 years old

A resident of the village of Zayukovo, Baksansky district of Kabardino-Balkaria, Nanu Shaova is officially recognized as the oldest person in Russia, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports with reference to the administration of the republic. A record about the long-liver is included in the Book of Records of the Russian Federation. Moreover, this fact is considered a world record.
Nana Tsukovna Shaova is 127 years old, she was born in 1890, here in Zayukovo, in a large family. The woman devoted her whole life to work at a collective farm. Her first husband was killed at the front, the second time she married after the Great Patriotic War. They lived with her spouse 36 years, brought up five children. He passed away in 1982.
Today the long-lived woman feels well, rejoices at successes of her relatives and, in her words, sometimes even gets tired of idleness. The grandmother prefers national dishes and sweets.
Before the title of the most elderly person in Russia belonged to Tanzilya Bisembeyeva, a resident of the Astrakhan region, she is 121 years old. It should be noted that the North Caucasus is considered to be the region with the highest life expectancy.
