It is forbidden to sell beer in large plastic bottles in Russia

UFA, 4 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. Since July 1, a ban on sale of beer in large plastic bottles comes into effect throughout Russia.
The law was adopted by the State Duma in 2016, according to the «Komsomolskaya Pravda-Ufa» website. It took some time to implement it. Since January 1, it has been forbidden to produce beer in "plastic" bottles of more than 1.5 liters. Since July 1, restrictions on sale of such packaging have come into force in retail.
The law extends not only to beer, but also to any other alcoholic products with a volume of more than 1.5 liters.
Companies and their managers, who violate these rules, face significant fines. They will amount to 300-500 thousand rubles for legal entities, 100-200 thousand for individuals.
The authors of the bill marked in the explanatory note, that beer consumption in the country had reached a "threatening level". The cheapness of plastic containers increases availability of this drink for the population, and a large volume makes people drinking even more.
