Emergency Situations Ministry warns again about worsening weather conditions in Bashkiria

UFA, 4 July 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. The Main Directorate of the Ministry for Emergencies of Russia in Bashkortostan informs that on Wednesday, July 5, a squally wind increase from 17 to 22 m/s with thunderstorms is expected in the republic. The information is provided by the Republican Office for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.

In the period of storm winds, the Ministry of Emergencies recommends checking the condition of power grids and equipment, heating stoves in residential building, serviceability of internal and external fire water supply, telephone communication, fire-fighting equipment. It is highly hazardous to stand under a power line in a strong wind and approach broken electrical lines.

In rural houses you need to fix or bring objects to the premises from the yard and put out fire in the oven.

It is important to avoid being near power lines, trees, billboards.

Drivers are recommended to reduce the speed limit and be careful and cautious on the roads.

Due to high fire hazard and strengthening of wind gusts, it is strictly forbidden to plant fires, burn dry grass, waste and packing, as well as to smoke and make fires in forests, burn waste near forest areas.
