Oliver Stone’s "The Putin Interviews" included footage from Ufa

UFA, 19 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. On June 19, the Channel One starts showing a new documentary film by the American filmmaker Oliver Stone "The Putin Interviews". Its global premiere took place in the US on June 12.
According to the Sobkor02.ru portal, the residents of Bashkortostan will also be interested in the fact that in the second series the Stone's conversation with Vladimir Putin was conducted against the backdrop of footage shot in Ufa.
The conversation about the Muslims of Russia is illustrated by the "Lyalya-Tyulpan" mosque located in the capital of Bashkortostan. Shootings from a quadrocopter feature not only one of the most striking sights of Ufa against a colourful autumn forest, but also the main building of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, as well as a beautiful landscape of the far reaches of Belaya River at sunset.
"We have never had a conflict between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. And then, the representatives of our Islamic community are citizens of Russia, they do not have any other homeland. Russia is their homeland," the author of the publication quotes a fragment from the interview with Putin.
The head of state notes that "Russia was developing as a multi-confessional and multiethnic state from the very beginning, from its outset".
Oliver Stone has created his film about Putin on the basis of more than a dozen interviews with the Russian President held over the past two years. The first part of the film is devoted to the beginning of Putin's career, the second - to the problems of Russia. Stone and Putin discussed Ukraine and Syria in the third part and the situation after the elections in the United States in the fourth part.
