Ufa entered Top-20 cities of Russia with high event potential

UFA, 14 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. Ufa entered the Top 20 cities of Russia with the highest event potential. The capital of Bashkortostan takes 11th position in the rating compiled by the R&C Exhibition and Research Centre, the city administration reports.

In the study based on the results of 2016 it was noted that the eventual potential of Ufa continues to strengthen. Bashkortostan offers not only active winter and summer holidays in the most beautiful nature sights, but also an opportunity to conduct business and corporate events of any format, level and scale.

Ufa is recognized by experts as a new congress centre of the country due to the appropriate infrastructure, transport accessibility, logistics and new hotels.

The Bashkortostan Congress Bureau was established in Ufa, which in the previous several years has been engaged in preparation and implementation of activities to promote interethnic and international cooperation. The competence of the new regional congress bureau includes experience of preparing and holding the SCO and BRICS summits in July 2015.

The main goal of the Bashkortostan Congress Bureau is to promote the republic as a region with a favourable business and investment climate, attract international, national business and cultural events: congresses, symposiums, forums, conferences, exhibitions, and to develop intensive programs and events.

Total, 20 cities of Russia are included in the rating. The first place in it is taken by St. Petersburg, the second - Yekaterinburg, the third - Sochi. Krasnodar and Kazan are on the fourth and fifth places, respectively.
