UFA, 14 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a working meeting on completion of the construction and further operation of the Sports Training Centre in the Zaton district.
It was attended by members of the Government RB, heads of relevant ministries and departments, representatives of the customer and the sports community.
The Head of the Republic noted that during his visit to the construction site a number of serious defects had been revealed, which required elimination in the shortest possible time. First of all, it concerns the standards of construction, improvement of the adjacent territory.
During the meeting, organizational and financial issues related to the completion of construction and installation works were discussed, as well as specific directions for the subsequent functioning of the centre.
“Perspective operational plans are challenging for us today just like the completion progress of this facility construction. We must find the answers to all these questions and, of course, to put this centre into full operation in the near future so that not only professional athletes, but also children, can attend it.”
The total area of the centre exceeds 37 thousand square metres. In particular, it will include a sports complex with an area of 8.5 thousand square metres with a seating capacity of 3000, a swimming pool area of 13.7 thousand square metres with 500 seats, as well as a medical and rehabilitation centre, a cafe and a hotel for 200 guests.
The complex under construction will become the single indoor centre of this type in Russia. Here, conditions will be created for training of Paralympic athletes with any type of disability. The centre's facilities will allow hosting Russian and international competitions, train Russian national teams in various sports, including fencing, tennis, martial arts, boxing, athletics, etc.
