Mikhail Babich and Rustem Khamitov congratulated Bashkortostan residents on Day of Russia

UFA, 13 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. Mikhail Babich, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the Volga Federal District (PFD) visited Bashkortostan. Together with the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov he took part in the opening of the Multimedia Historical Park "Russia is My History" and congratulated the citizens of the republic on the Day of Russia.

"Today our whole country celebrates the most important state holiday - the Day of Russia. This is a holiday of our statehood, our independence, unity of our people. This is a holiday that is celebrated in all parts of our vast country, in all 85 regions of the Russian Federation," said Mikhail Babich.

The Head of Bashkortostan noted that besides the national holiday Ufa celebrated the City Day on June 12.

"Congratulations on this holiday to all Ufa residents. I would like our city become more beautiful and make progress in its development in every sense", said Rustem Khamitov.

In honour of the Day of Russia, the Plenipotentiary Envoy and the Head of Bashkortostan handed over passports of citizen of the Russian Federation to the young residents of the republic distinguished themselves in their studies, sports and extracurricular activities.

Also, Mikhail Babich and Rustem Khamitov visited the Ufa Victory Park, laid flowers to the monument of the Heroes of the Soviet Union Alexander Matrosov and Minnigali Gubaidullin and got acquainted with the exposition of the Republican Museum of Combat Glory.
