Rustem Khamitov visited Sports Training Centre under construction in Ufa
UFA, 8 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. As part of his working trip over Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, examined construction of the Sports Training Centre in the Zaton district.
The total area of the centre exceeds 37 thousand square metres. In particular, it will include a sports complex with an area of 8.5 thousand square metres with a seating capacity of 3000, a swimming pool area of 13.7 thousand square metres with 500 seats, as well as a medical and rehabilitation centre, a cafe and a hotel for 200 guests.
According to the Minister of Youth Policy and Sport RB Andrey Ivanuta, the complex under construction will become the single indoor centre of this type in Russia. Here, conditions will be created for training of Paralympic athletes with any type of disability. The centre's facilities will allow hosting Russian and international competitions, train Russian national teams in various sports, including fencing, tennis, martial arts, boxing, athletics, etc.
The Head of the Republic inspected the pool and sports facilities, having instructed in the shortest possible time to begin internal lay-out, decoration works and landscaping.
Rustem Khamitov paid special attention to its transport accessibility. A parking lot next to the centre is designed for 200 cars. According to the Head of the Region, this is not enough for the complex that can accommodate 3,000 spectators. The Head of the Republic instructed to work through this issue, including a possibility of launching a special shuttle transporting young athletes from the city centre and back.
The most important, according to Rustem Khamitov, remains the issue of the centre's occupancy. The Head of the Region instructed to prepare a detailed plan, which should indicate the areas of work of the complex and the planned attendance.
