East and West ophthalmologists will present latest developments in eye disease treatment in Ufa

UFA, 6 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Ufa will again host the "East-West" International Ophthalmology Conference. The eighth forum will be held at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre on June 8-9. This event supposes exchange of experience, presentations of modern methods of treating eye diseases, including developments of the Ufa Eye Diseases Institute, as well as medical equipment and preparations.

The program includes plenary sessions and satellite symposia. Along with sessions devoted to topical issues of ophthalmology, a video session will be held, where interesting clinical cases from the practice of ophthalmic surgeons of Russia, near and far abroad will be presented.

An integral part of the conference is "live surgery" - direct broadcast of surgeries from the Ufa Research Eye Diseases Institute under the guidance of leading Russian and Ufa surgeons.

A section of young scientists "Modern Ophthalmology: Fundamental and Applied Aspects" will be organized, during which they will present and discuss the results of their experimental and clinical studies.

The work of the conference will also be broadcasted online, the Ministry of Health RB reports.

The representative forum is held by the Ufa Research Eye Diseases Institute with the support of the Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Health RB.
