Bashkortostan will have rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities

UFA, 2 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. In Bashkortostan, a construction of a modern rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities is planned. This was reported by the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov and the Children's Rights Ombudsman under the President of Russia Anna Kuznetsova.

"We have discussed system solutions. This is construction of a large rehabilitation centre. This decision has already been made by the Head of the Republic, and this is very important," said the Children's Ombudsman. "Considering that the republic is large, heavily-populated, this problem can be solved by a hotel complex, which will ensure accessibility, so that not only residents of Ufa or the nearest regions can use these services."

The Head of the Republic said that the centre's project had already existed. Construction will be carried out at the expense of the republican budget funds.

"I think that the next year we will try to start construction, so that by 2020 we will have a rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities with health problems. But it is important that mothers can be nearby, so we will plan a small hotel complex at the same time," said Rustem Khamitov. "This work is necessary. Currently we don’t have a really good, modern rehabilitation centre. We will pick up a construction site: in Ufa, nearby, or in another city, maybe in Sterlitamak, Salavat, where there is good health care services. We will discuss this necessarily. I think that it will be minimum for 100-150 beds".
