Rustem Khamitov took part in video conference on children recreation and health improvement

UFA, 1 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Chairman of the Government of Russia Dmitry Medvedev held a video conference on the organization of children's recreation and health improvement, in which the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov took part.

The Prime Minister noted that last year the regulatory and legal framework concerning children's recreation had been substantially improved. Powers for its organization are assigned now to the Ministry of Education, which will coordinate the work of all agencies involved in this work.

According to the Chairman of the Government, the key topics are security, compliance with sanitary norms, fire regulations.

The Prime Minister said that last week the Fundamentals of state regulation and state control of the organization of rest and health improvement of children were approved. They reflect the tasks of improving the system of organizing children's recreation, including training of specialists, construction and reconstruction of camps and health resorts, and further improvement of the legislative framework.

"Another innovation of this season is mandatory notification of the Ministry for Emergency Situations out the routes of children's tourist groups. Such groups should be accompanied by instructors who are able to provide first aid and have received special training," said Dmitry Medvedev. "We have a single emergency number. If necessary, everyone should be able to call on it in case of an emergency situation. And you can do this even outside the coverage area of the network or when there are no funds on the phone".

The safety of children during organized transportation should be taken under special control, according to Dmitry Medvedev.

"We should also see to the fact that all children's recreation organizations be included in special registers that appeared in all regions", the Prime Minister said.

Recreation and rehabilitation of children in Bashkortostan in 2017 will be carried out by 2,688 organizations. Among them there are 98 countryside recreation camps, 1,459 day-time children camps organized by educational organizations, 30 camps of sanatorium type, 981 labour and recreation camps, and 120 tent camps.

It is planned to cover about 390,000 children with the main forms of recreation and health recovery, which is 88.3 percent of the total number of children of school age in the republic. 4 thousand children will have rest outside of the republic, including 3,250 - on the Black Sea coast. Of these, 170 children will go to the All-Russian Children's Centre "Orlyonok", 1 392 children - to the Republic of Crimea.

The consolidated budget of the republic for the provision of a children's health campaign amounted to 1.6 billion rubles. Acquisition of trips to health institutions and sanatoriums will also be carried out at the expense of organizations, parental contributions, trade union organizations.
