June 1 - Global Parents Day

UFA, 1 June 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. On June 1 the Global Parents Day is marked. It merged with International Children's Day at the initiative of the United Nations General Assembly in 2013. These two holidays are held on the same day not by accident. In the United Nations state that parents in all parts of the world, regardless of their race, religion, culture or nationality, are the main educators and teachers of their children, preparing them for a happy, full and productive life.

Today large-scale events are held in Bashkortostan. For example, the first Republican Parent Forum was held in Ufa with the participation of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, the Children's Rights Ombudsman under the President of the Russian Federation Anna Kuznetsova, the Senator from Bashkiria Liliya Gumerova, the leader of the Parent League of Russia Nina Dobrynchenko-Matusevich, the executive director of the National Parent Association for Social Support of the Family and Family Values Larisa Sanatovskaya, representatives of the parental communities from all municipalities of the republic.

A children's marathon is going on the BST channel, in parks - concerts and festive events.
