Rustem Khamitov met with head of Tourism Federal Agency Oleg Safonov

UFA, 31 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Oleg Safonov. The parties discussed the prospects for the development of tourist and recreational clusters in the region, strengthening the potential of sanatorium and resort industry.

The Head of the Region noted that one of the main tasks at present was to attract private investments to the resort industry. The first health resort, which will receive investors' funds, will be the "Krasnousolsky" sanatorium, where a new building will be constructed. It is planned to organize work in the "Yangan-Tau" health resort according to the same pattern.

The tourist attraction of the region should be promoted by creation of tourist and recreational clusters, which combine opportunities for recreation and rehabilitation of several districts at once. At present, the clusters such as "Legends of the Urals", "Asly-kul", "Burzyan" and others are most actively being formed.

The meeting, in particular, discussed the working progress of the "Burzyan" cluster formation, which unites the potential of the Burzyan, Kugarcha and Kuyurgazy districts. The volume of work before the end of 2018 is estimated at 1.7 billion rubles. To date, the investor has already invested 730 million rubles. In 2017 it is planned to spend about 210 million rubles. The republic, in turn, directed 5.6 million rubles for shore protection works. This year, the budget will allocate 27.5 million rubles for the formation of external infrastructure - roads and utility lines.

"We have included the "Burzyan" cluster in the list of promising projects for the implementation of the federal target program "Development of domestic and outbound tourism", which implementation we plan to start in 2019, "Oleg Safonov said after the meeting.

One of the points of growth for the tourism industry, according to the participants in the meeting, could be industrial tourism, which demonstrates the unique capabilities and productive power of the republican enterprises. Positive examples are already available. Thus, the "Ufa" International Airport organized a night excursion during the "Night of Museums" with a visit to an airfield. The Head of the Republic noted that this experience should be studied and replicated at other production facilities.
