Ufa hosts All-Russian "Health Resort-2017" Forum

UFA, 30 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The All-Russian "Health Resort-2017" Forum is taking place at Ufa Congress Hall. The capital of Bashkiria accepts it for the second time. Participants and guests of the forum were welcomed by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov. He spoke about a development of the tourism industry in the region and invited all those present to have rest at the local health resorts. The Head of Bashkiria also informed that as a result of the state-private partnership the Krasnousolsky health resort will receive 300 million rubles of investments, which will be invested in construction of a new building for 130 places.

The Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, Oleg Safonov, noted that the sanatorium and health complex created in Soviet Russia was unique and had no analogues in the world, combining recreation, treatment, and preventive care facilities. "Everyone recognizes that Russia has no competitors there. Therefore, the industry has great prospects. Currently, the share of tourism in GDP is 3.4%. The task is set - to reach 10%", said the head of Rosturizm.

The president of the National Health Resort Association, academician Alexander Razumov delivered a program report "Health Protection of a Healthy Person - Basis of Russian Socio-Economic Development and National Security".

The forum and specialized exhibition will last three days. The theme of medical rehabilitation prevails in topics of reports.

The forum was preceded by a three-day press tour around the republic, which will be completed by a tour of the local resorts.
