Sberbank "Green Marathon" took place in Ufa

UFA, 30 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Artem Antonov/. On Sunday, May 28, Ufa for the sixth time joined the All-Russian sports festival "Green Marathon", organized by Sberbank. This year the event started at the Salavat Yulayev square and was held under the motto "We run with meaning".

This day Ufa residents were supported also by runners in 54 cities of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

"Our city set a record by the number of registered participants. Applications were submitted by more than 3,5 thousand people, this is the second indicator for the country after St. Petersburg. This suggests that sport and healthy lifestyle are becoming increasingly popular in the society. We are sure that next year the number of participants of our marathon will even increase", says the Executive Manager of the Bashkir branch of the Sberbank Marat Mansurov.

By the good tradition before the marathon, Sberbank presented our city a social and sporting facility. This year, Ufa received a brand new modern bike parking lot.

The deputy head of the Ufa administration, Rustem Gazizov, in his welcoming speech stated that the "Green Marathon" had long and firmly entered the sports calendar of the city.

The culmination of the holiday was a 4.2 km race in which people of all ages participated, regardless of the level of their physical fitness. Separate races were held for children, journalists and bloggers, as well as for people with disabilities. All winners of the races received diplomas, souvenirs and prizes from the organizers.
