Regional authorities and society interaction issues in were discussed at 4th Civil Forum in Ufa

UFA, 30 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. In the Ufa Congress Hall in the framework of the 4th Civil Forum of the Republic of Bashkortostan a round table of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly RF for Civil Society Development, Issues of Public and Religious Associations was held. It was devoted to topical issues of interaction between state authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation and civil society institutions. The meeting was attended by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.

The Head of the Republic noted that the region had quite a lot to share in the sphere of support and development of non-profit organizations.

"In Bashkortostan, socially oriented non-profit organizations, which have been assigned functions previously performed by state-owned companies, receive governmental funding. Last year more than 450 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget. About 500 organizations were provided with real estate on preferential terms", Rustem Khamitov said.

According to the Head of the Region, non-profit organizations develop and promote their own projects in the republic and nationwide, apply for federal competitions, and win grants. The total amount of attracted funds last year was more than 62 million rubles for 31 social projects. This is twice as much as in 2015.

Among the important tasks for the development of non-profit organizations, the Head of the Region called for the need to coordinate their activities, expand their activities at the municipal level, and strengthen public control.

The round table was held by Sergey Gavrilov, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly RF for Civil Society Development, Issues of Public and Religious Associations. The deputies of the State Duma and the State Assembly - the Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan, members of the Public Chambers of the regions and the Republic of Bashkortostan, representatives of government bodies, business, non-profit organizations and public associations, public councils at the ministries, departments and administrations of the republic took part in it.

"I believe that a stance of the State Duma is expressed in the fact that the multinational and multiconfessional nature of our country - especially on the example of Bashkortostan - is our strength and not weakness. This is a source of its correct, effective development in the 21st century", Sergey Gavrilov stressed.
