Bashkortostan and Orenburg region create "South Ural" tourist destination

UFA, 30 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Republic of Bashkortostan and the Orenburg region are currently working on creation of a "South Ural" tourist destination. This was stated by the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov at the plenary session of the All-Russian forum "Health Resort-2017", which takes place in Ufa.

The Head of the Republic noted that to form an effective resort complex management system a unified strategy for the development of sanatorium-resort clusters of the subjects of the Federation was necessary, taking into account the unique natural curative and recreational features of each territory.

"It is important to develop interregional cooperation in the sphere of tourism. For example, now we together with the Orenburg region create a tourist destination "South Ural" focusing on health and recreational rest," said Rustem Khamitov. "The total investment volume will exceed 19 billion rubles. We plan that combining the tourist and recreational potential of our regions will allow us to combine several resort areas, strengthen the infrastructure, expand the range of services and, accordingly, the tourist flow. "

Tourist destination is a geographical area that has certain boundaries, the necessary infrastructure and represents a competitive subject in the tourism market. Thus, a tourism centre with a developed service and infrastructure will be formed in the Southern Urals.
