Russians would prefer to spend summer vacations in Crimea

The inhabitants of Russia call Crimea as the most desirable place of rest for the second year in a row. 37%, if possible, would spend the summer there. These are the data of the VCIOM poll devoted to the Russians' plans for the upcoming summer season. The second place in the list of preferences was taken for the first time by resorts of the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, 31% of respondents would prefer to spend holidays there. 13% of citizens consider Turkey as a potential holiday destination in the coming years.

Almost every second Russian (47%) plans to spend this summer locally. Only 6% of respondents plan to travel abroad. The main reason for refraining from travelling remains financial difficulties. 17% of respondents plan to work all through the summer. The number of those who cannot leave the country for family reasons became three times more (up to 12%).

The estimated spending on the summer trip per member of the family this year will be almost 40 thousand rubles. 48% of the respondents specifically set aside money for the trip, the rest either pay for the trip from current funds (22%), or at the expense of additional funds raised: sub-work, premiums (13%).
