Bashkiria arranges visit to Germany for relatives of those killed in plane crash over Boden See
UFA, 24 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. On July 2, 2017 it is marked the 15th anniversary of the death of passengers of the Bashkir Airlines airplane in the sky above Boden See in Germany. In this terrible plane crash, 71 people died - 69 passengers and crew members of the Tu-154M, of which 52 children, and two pilots of the Boeing 757.
In connection with the mourning date, Bashkortostan organizes a visit to Germany by the relatives of the deceased from July 1 to 3. The authorities of the republic will help to issue visas and purchase air tickets.
In Überlingen (the air crash location) several commemorative events will be organized with the participation of officials, the public of Bashkortostan and the Land of Baden-Württemberg.
Family and relatives of the victims will visit the place of the tragedy.
On the site of the plane crash near the town of Überlingen, there is a monument "Die zerrissene Perlenkette" ("Broken Pearl Thread").
Almost all the dead, children and crew members are buried in the Southern Cemetery of Ufa. There, in the cemetery, a memorial was opened in their memory.
