Russia and Azerbaijan Higher Educational Institutions Association Forum is held in Ufa

UFA, 18 May 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. On May 18, the 2nd Forum of the Association of Higher Educational Institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan was opened at the Congress Hall. Representatives of 16 Azerbaijani and 34 Russian universities took part in its work.

Greeting the guests, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Salavat Sagitov stressed that "such events allow developing perspective directions of cooperation in education, science and culture".

The Deputy Minister of Education of Azerbaijan, Mr. Metin Balasen ogly Einullayev thanked the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University for their warm welcome.

The Rector of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, the co-chairman of the Association of Russian and Azerbaijani Universities, Ramil Bakhtizin, noted a symbolic meaning of this meeting, which took place during the celebration of the 85th anniversary of Bashkir oil.

The co-chairman of the Association, the rector of the Sumgait State University Elkhan Bahadur ogly Khuseynov called on participants to develop experience of cooperation for common benefit.

"Our Association is active and effective", he stressed.

Within the framework of the plenary session, the forum participants heard reports by the Deputy Executive Director of the National Training Foundation Marina Baryshnikova, the rector of Southern University Imran Akperov, the rector of Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M.Akmulla Rail Asadullin, the rector of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry Mustafa Baba ogly Babanly and other speakers.
